
Nora Baraka
Nora graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts, Graphics Section in 2007. Apart from her art degree, Nora has also studied Sociology at Ain Shams University (2011) and earned several interdisciplinary diplomas including “The Child Psychotherapeutic Counseling Program” from Ain Shams University in 2009, “Correction of Child’s Behavior Through Art” from Centro Italiano di Soldarieta di Roma in 2010 and “Primary Health Care for Children Program” from Medecins du Monde in 2011.
Nora has worked on several NGO programs along the years including the “Women and Children at Risk” Program in Egypt and Lebanon and most recently, held the position of director and coordinator for “The Women at Risk Center” Program at Caritas-Egypt in 2011. She also worked as a curator for several exhibitions, and this counts as her very first collaboration as a visual artist. During the past years, Nora has organized various art exhibitions of which children’s works were exhibited including ones in 2009, 2010 as well as 2011.
