Born in Cairo in 1977, Nevine is an Architect with a master’s degree in Architecture from Cairo University (2007). Her architectural background served her artistic knowledge and shaped both her character and style as an artist. Being self-taught, Nevine loves to experiment with different mediums including photography, digital art, collage and painting. She has attended different workshops with contemporary artists as well as the contemporary art program at Magd ElSagini Atelier.
Nevine ‘s work focuses on metaphysical concepts such as the multidimensional universe and parallel dimensions. Her work is characterized by visual geometric aesthetics, blurring the boundaries between earth and sky; the sky opening into space stands as the main character in her work, serving as a reflection of her ideas and provoking a deep sense of silence and perspective.
She participated in several group exhibitions in Egypt including “Magd El Sagini Students” Exhibition at Ubuntu Gallery (2017), “Thin Air” at SOMA Art Gallery and “Sameness” curated by Adsum Art on the sidelines of the Gouna Film Festival (2018). In 2019, Nevine ‘s work was selected at the SOMA exclusive event for contemporary art in collaboration with the French Institute in Egypt. She held her first Solo exhibition titled “Roaming Echoes” at Soma Art Gallery, Cairo (2019). Nevine also participated in Egypt International Art Fair in its first edition (2020), ‘Art Town Symposium’ and “Dots” exhibitions organized by Ex by Art D’Egypte (2020). Her work was acquired by several prestigious art collections across the world including the International MIA Art Collection.
