Moutaz is a freelance Syrian artist who was born in 1970 and currently lives in Sweden. Moutaz holds a Bachelor in Art from Damascus University (1988). He is a resourceful and an innovative artist with extensive experience of working with composed paintings, sculpture as well as art therapy. As a true professional and motivated self-starter, Moutaz strives to create the highest quality experience that appeals to global audiences. He is a member of Gallery Gotland in Sweden as well as the Arab Artists League.
His first exhibition was at Ean Menin Secondary School (1985). During his career as an artist, Moutaz has participated in numerous exhibitions including World exhibition (1994), Universalism exhibition (1995), Speech at a Point exhibition in Syria (1997) among others in Beirut, Sweden, Belgium and Spain. Paintings of Moutaz’s are located in Gilgamesh Theatre in France, a University in Switzerland, the American Embassy as well as the American School in Damascus, Gallery Tajaleyat and Gallery Zaman in Beirut and Qasser Al Amareh in Kuwait. Alongside his wide list of exhibitions, Moutaz has also managed 13 workshops across Syria with the aim of reshaping the meaning of inspiration.
Moutaz’s works were featured in various newspapers including Al Kefah Al Arabi, Teshreen, Al Baath and Al Thawrah Al Souriya (Syrian Newspapers) along with Al Safeer, Al Watan and Nidaa Al Watan (Lebanon Newspapers). Other features include ones in The Arab Woman Magazine, The Arts Life Magazine as well as GA and GT newspaper in Sweden.
