
Mhanny Yaoud
Mhanny Yaoud was born in Dakhla Oasis in 1985. He currently lives and works in both Cairo and El-Minia. He is a Visual Artist and Painting Lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Minia University. Yaoud holds a master’s degree in Painting from Minia University (2015) and a PhD in Philosophy of Fine Arts titled “Surfaces with Irregular Shapes and Textures as a Creative Motive in Contemporary Painting” (2020).
Yaoud mainly paints large, irregular abstract paintings in bright vibrant colors and occasionally paints figurative art. He was given the CIB Collectibles Award, the Oriental Weavers Award in Cairo Youth Salon (2008), Cairo Youth Salon Award (2011), as well as Dai Painting Award at Dai Festival for Arab Youth (2018). He has official collectibles at the General Authority of Culture Palaces, private collectibles at the CIB along with individuals in Egypt, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, Canada, USA and Romania.
Yaoud has been participating in many local exhibitions both solo and group, workshops and festivals since 2008 in Egypt, France, Italy, Romania, Austria as well as other countries. Some of his local exhibitions include 4th International Burullus Art Festival for Painting on Walls and Boats (2017), Times of Art Exhibition (2018) and Egypt International Art Fair (2020). He also held solo exhibitions in Egypt, Italy and France. His works were exhibited in Living Units International Touring Exhibition in Cairo, Vienna, Bucharest and Morocco (2016-2019) and A New Legacy – Contemporary Art of Egypt in USA (2019).
