
Fatma Lootah
Fatma Lootah was born in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She studied art at Baghdad Art Academy in Iraq as well as the American University in Washington DC. She currently lives in and works as an artist in Verona, Italy.
Fatma’s early start in art was at a performance art back in 1985. Throughout her years as an artist, Fatma has both held solo exhibitions and participated in various art shows in different European and Arab Countries. Her exhibitions include ones at Meta Gallery in Bolzano, Italy (1985), Toni di Rossi Art Gallery in Verona, Italy (1986) and Rossana Chessi Art Gallery in Re, Italy (1986-1987). She also participated at Sharjah Biennial (1993), an exhibition at Bahrain Art Center (2005), Mediterranean Art Festival in Spain (2018), among other exhibitions in Geneva, Switzerland (2000), Paris, France (2001-2004), Munich, Germany (2006). Fatma also exhibited multiple times in United Arab Emirates between the years 2009 and 2019, Qatar (2015-2016), New Delhi, India (2016), Istanbul, Turkey (2017), Cairo, Egypt (2017) and New York, United States (2018).
