Esraa Zidan is an Egyptian artist born in April 1990. Since 2014, she has been working as an assistant lecturer at Helwan University, in the Faculty of Applied Arts. Her teaching includes topics like human anatomy, art marketing and art branding. Her masters dissertation is titled “Human Anatomy for Artists” and she is currently working on her PhD. Zidan has participated in more than 20 national and international exhibitions, happening in Italy, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and so on. She also had her own solo exhibition in 2019, titled “The Neighbors of the Rainbow”. Zidan’s artwork has been acquired by many prestigious insitutions and individuals all over the world. She also published articles on art marketing in several prestigious journals. Her work revolves around the human body and the concept of beauty. She’s trying to look into personalized definitions of beauty, despite society’s definition of it.
