Ebdaa Art Gallery was established in 2000. Located in the heart of Zamalek, Cairo; the gallery has been the source of modern, contemporary, and old Egyptian art for over 20 years by sourcing and trading art that moves people. Everyone deserves to be moved by art. Hence, the gallery sources art from all over the Arab world and makes it available for collectors; bringing art collectors together and moving art lovers closer to the art world.
Ebdaa Art Gallery has organized many solo and group exhibitions for Egyptian fine art pioneers and contemporary artists along the years. It supports young artists by organising two annual exhibitions and putting together “artist project”, a project that provides artists with technical, financial, and moral support. Ebdaa Art Gallery is distinguished by presenting non-profit performances such as installation works and creative films in order to achieve exhibitions’ policy.
On the global level, Ebdaa Art Gallery seeks to introduce Egyptian art by marketing and presenting it internationally in both technical and electronic ways through websites and the internet, thus facilitating a global spread. The gallery also seeks to enrich cultural exchange of some countries by hosting exchange exhibitions where it hosts a group of foreign artists and then send a group of Egyptian artists to participate in international exhibitions in return. The gallery has previously applied the idea and participated in the Hungarian Artists Exhibition at Prince Taz Palace.
