Asmaa is an Egyptian painter who graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Zamalek in 2005. After graduating, Asmaa pursed the field of mural painting all the way to 2011. In 2011, Asmaa was presented with an opportunity to work on a new medium—watercolors. With her new discovered passion for watercolors, Asmaa shifted her path and became a freelance watercolor painter.
Most of her paintings portray women and sometimes are inspired by childhood, motherhood, and music. Some of Asmaa’s paintings portray music’s special and unique connection with human beings and how music both inspires and influences them. What drives Asmaa and makes her paintings different is how she channels her inner energy and puts her passion, culture, dedication, and love for painting into every one of them. Besides being a passionate painter, Asmaa also enjoys cooking and walking the old streets of Cairo.
She participated in several local exhibitions; some of them are Sohbet Fan 3 Exhibition in Drub Gallery (2012), Revolution Exhibition at Fine Art Lovers Association (2012), Vision Exhibition in Art Corner Gallery (2012) among many others. Alongside her group exhibitions, Asmaa also held a number of solo exhibitions, some of which are Nusic Solo Exhibition in Cordoba Gallery (2017), Artist of Tomorrow Exhibition in Arts-Mart Gallery (2017), and most recently, Telk Al Raeha Exhibition in Picasso Art Gallery (2019). Her works were also exhibited in Siwa Journey Workshop and Exhibition in Hanager as well as Egypt International Art Fair (2020).
