Ahmed graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1994. He began his artistic practices right after he graduated by participating in the Annual Youth Salon which was organized by the Ministry of Culture. He was given several awards at the Youth Salon which in time motivated him to participate in other local group exhibitions.
Ahmed’s first solo exhibition was in 2002 at El Mashrabeya Gallery in Dokki.
Aswan International Sculpture Symposium was Ahmed’s door to the world of Stone Sculpture Symposia in many countries around the world. In 2005 Ahmed was given the State Award for Creativity, giving him the opportunity to travel to Italy and start a project of his own under the name of “El-Masr Khanke – “المصرخانكيه. The main focus of his project was to sculpturally redevelop Islamic Architecture by designing and visualizing a full city starting from its door to every other detail.
Ahmed’s project “El-Masr Khanke – “المصرخانكيه was exhibited in the Egyptian Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in 2006, Gezira Art Center in Egypt in 2008 as well as many other places.
